The Edgemoor Neighborhood has 2,000 residents and considered a desirous place to live. The population consists mostly of retirees, empty nesters, and families. The area also has magnificent views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands.

An Edgemoor asset is Fairhaven Middle School, which occupies about 13 acres. Nearby Fairhaven Park provides a wide range of recreational opportunities. Clark's Point is another area worth noting with it's naturally preserved and nicely treed with tall evergreens and cedar trees. There is a great little trail that leads down to the Chuckanut Creek Estuary. These areas are protected and will be preserved for future generations to come.

A private facility known as Lairmont Manor is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and a popular venue for weddings, receptions and other formal occasions. Bayside Swimming Club, help make the neighborhood unique and attractive to people from all over the city. Schools in the Edgemoor Neighborhood include Larrabee Elementary, Fairhaven Middle and Sehome High.
