Cornwall Park

The Cornwall Park Neighborhood encompasses 653 acres. 2,300 people call the Cornwall Park Neighborhood home. 70 acre Cornwall Park is a large treed park that is very active and contains a playground, baseball fields, spray water park, wooded trails, hills, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, picnic shelters, and a disc golf course. It is one of the most popular Bellingham parks. Squalicum Creek winds through the park. You can drive though right to the Cornwall Park Rose Garden. Stop by during the bright and sunny summer months when the roses are blooming to admire the varieties and colors and scents of these gorgeous blossoms. This sunny location is also a nice contrast to the treed coolness of the majority of the park.

Broadway Park features a large grassy open area and a playground in the southern part of the neighborhood.

The Roeder Home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1903 is a landmark that draws people in for weddings, recitals and craft events.

St. Joseph Hospital, Whatcom County's only hospital plus a cancer center and a health education facility are located in the Cornwall Park neighborhood.

In this area Meridian Street is lined with small shops, restaurants and offices, Haggen Grocery Store, coffee shops, ethnic restaurants and more. known as The Fountain District, Bellis Fair Mall is also in the vicinity.

Area Schools include Parkview Elementary School, Columbia Elementary School, Shuksan Middle School and Whatcom Middle School. High school students attend Bellingham High School.
